That one is sharp looking as a convertible but it make me nervous there been so many times that im backing up and go over a tree trunk or part of stump and that backend is going up and then it finaly tilts over and slams down im just glad I got that 3in box steel around me and several grab points or OH Sh$T handles. The other day I dragged a 16ftx 30ft morgan storage building up a incline and then about 1/4 mile to its new home it was on skids so just a tad over 1/2 power and off we went

I agree, but I bought it this way and mostly use it for pushing snow, blading my road and pasture cleanup so pretty easy, smooth conditions, lots of work around here needs to be done before I build a top, I have a 337 Bobcat Excavator that I use for all my firewood production and work in the woods.

That's very nice work. Your road looks a lot like mine. I just noticed you live on Orcas. My daughter has an old friend on Orcas. Her name is Amy is all I remember. Would be a little younger than you. Daughter Janet is now in Portland.

getting finishing touches on my root rake for the front blade 1in plate for sides and teeth, 1/2in square tubing with 1/2 plate welded under the bottom square tube, teeth will be 6in below the bottom of the blade, should be good enough to rip the roots out of the typical brush and trees here in south texas, I have no problems with most mesquite unless their really big most just crack off right at the base, its the pesky smaller brush that seems to go under the blade, going to have it set up so I can flip it up with a boat wench when I don't need it.

My machine has been doing great i been busy with it the past month and still got people call me or coming up to me at fuel stops wanting work done, looks like i might give up my regular job and just due this, every time I think well only got 2 more jobs left then i get 3 or 4 calls from people and im busy all over again. This has been a godsend for me on paying my bills and actually saving some $$$ for rainy day fund.

Any time budy, blew a trailer tire yesterday knocked off fender and broke bracket so got to deal with that over the weekend.
I've been there, as far as tires go, ive had an excellent experience with Synergy SP500 all steel 14ply in 235/85r16, they have steel sidewalls as well, and don't have any sway. They make the 10 plies look and feel like party balloons.

D21s remind me of the HD4 and 655 Allis crawlers, eerily similar layouts.
My d21-3 sure does, im guessing its a mid 70s model, the weight is even similar. Freind of the family had an hd8, but he spent more time under it than on it.

My machine is a D20PL-6 serial number 60357. Any idea what year that would be? It is a grey market machine. My Komatsu dealer doesn’t like working with me on it because of its Japanese origin.

Previous owner did not press replacement sprockets onto axles. Over time the splines have worked and stripped. The track drive sprocket teeth are like new but the splines are stripped.

In need of used sprocket (s) 2012-27-11530. Must have good internal splines. The sprocket teeth I can replace later.

Also in need of used axle (s) 10G-27-21311. Must have good external splines. The splines on the axles are much harder than the splines in the sprocket (s) so they have not completely stripped but are worn enough to cause concern.

Has anyone out there replaced their sprockets and what method was used to install onto axle shaft. Manual says 10 to 20 ton install force.

I have used JB Weld to temporarily reattach the worst one in order to get it back to the shop.

There appear to aftermarket axles available but I have had trouble with poor workmanship and lack of OEM strength ie. Heat treatment.

The axle for the D20PL-6 trimming dozer is not a common item due to the rarity of the machine. Somewhere there are a couple used sprockets with good splines leaning up against the wall in someone’s shop collecting dust. I would like to find out what they would take $$$ for them.

Here is a picture of the stripped spline in the sprocket for my D20PL-6 20201024_113835.jpg
I painstakingly smoothed the burs around the lip of the spline to see if it would help seat it better but that was a waste of time.
