This 1986 Superliner was the first new truck that I ever made payments on . With the E9 @ 500 hp, Mack 12 sp and Mack bogies, it was also the heaviest , best riding, the strongest and the fastest. 6 mpg was easy to do as long as you drove by the boost and pyro and shifted accordingly. f66aef77.jpg 984f2806.jpg

Cool old KW. So i assume its steel body cause of the rust spots? What year did KW go to the Aluminum cabs and fiberglass hood? This concludes the test for today. lol

The cab is aluminum and hood the fenders steel, KW was building aluminum cabs back in the 40's the fiberglass parts started in late 50's.

Good looking old trucks. Interesting tow pin on the KW.

That was pretty much standard back then.

But no one said anything about the quad headlights----------those are off a Pete. It originally only had singles.
