Looks like Case to me. Ductile iron If I'm right. It contains iron & magnesium. Welding isn't going to work.

Need to know for sure what material it is. Cast iron will hard to impossible to have a lasting repair. If it's cast steel could be welded using preheat and proper techniques.

How did it break? did the pin come out on one side? I'd use a bolt through that pin at the least, that clip is not a good idea.

Take it to a welder if you can't get a solid answer on what it is. It will either hold or not. Most welders should be able to tell the material and not bother if it won't hold.

I bought a similar piece for my old JD 310 at Farmland Tractor in Tangent, Oregon. They are a wrecking yard for ag and construction equipment. They can be quite proud of their stuff but worth a try.

Try ESI 740-439-5512. They are a backhoe salvage yard. They ship about anything!

Cast Iron is very brittle, or has little ductility. Steel varies in ductility. When you weld anything the process of cooling the hottest portion makes it shrink. This sets up stresses. Steel stretches as it cools, iron less so.
Cast iron is porous, lots of contaminants interfere with fusion to weld metal.

You can try to have an expert weld it, but you'll save effort finding new, or good used.
