Parked all winter, but was outside. Put a new battery in it and it starts, but hydraulics do not move and the little armrest instrument panel does not display. I've been researching and from what I can tell its possibly the safety button in the armrest that is bad? Anybody have any input on this?

Remove some access panels and remove the rats nest. At that point start looking at the wiring. It’s more than likely you will find some chewed into.

I had to remove a squirrel nest on top of my tractor engine a couple of months ago, the crazy squirrel chewed through a corner of the air filter housing but fortunately nothing else.

Good day John
Try by-passing the control lock out that will most probably tell you where the problem is at.
Kind regards

In the attached pic, it appears as if the side arm makes contact with this part when it is put down to operate the machine. It looks like the center button is stuck in. Is this center button supposed to be sticking out so when the sidearm is lowered it pushes in on the button allowing the hydraulics to work? Also, Im not seeing any wiring damage from mice.

The button should be sticking out .Switch might be damaged internally .You start machine then jump out switch and see if you can get it to move.

I believe the switch simply can't be jumpered. It must be cycled.
You would first have to start the machine then jump it .Like if you were lowering the handle . You going to have to have switch disconnected first before starting it .
