Just bought a 570. Have never ran a Deere this old. How do you shift the saddle? Could possibly be a floor button on the right hand side of the floor. Is there any weak points I need to know about? Found a crack in circle frame. 8AC6FEFC-1385-4752-BB2B-19583C12C963.jpeg

Nice find.

Can't help you with the saddle shift. Are you sure it does?

There should be a button under a cover near the brake pedals from memory for the centreshift/saddle. If the pins haven't been moved in a while they might need a little encouragement.

May wish to scan Fleabay or do a generic Service/operator manuals on google. Are a number of aftermarketers reprinting older manuals, would be a life/time saver here where only have to look up what need.

This search input brought up a trove of them new or used:

Having a 570A for more than 10 years I would suggest that the saddle pins could be a function you will not use much. That said, watch them when you start up. Mine will retract and then reingage as the hyd. pump charges up. They are low hyd. pressure and do not work like a regular hyd. cylinder. Once you free up the button on the floor, they may or may not disengage on command. I was able to get my left pin functioning again by replacing a single ring seal with a non factory ring that would follow the contour of the cylinder (under twenty dollars). All the down forces on the blade travel through those pins and cylinders so they take a lot of abuse. After repairing mine, I've only used that function a couple of times, mostly for the experience.
My diff lock engage is on the floor, left side. Highly recommend you get all the manuals, I have three. Parts, Operators, and Technical. Also a engine one for the 6059 engine. They are availble on online, but I filled my paper ones up with notes and page markers for quick reference. Keep a log of all maintence and repairs. Consult the previous owner if you can.

We bought it on an auction. The pins haven’t been used in a long time. Two lines are broken, and they put pieces of pipe in there to keep the pins from walking out. I would like to get them working but it’s not a necessity.
