I got to sit and play with a Kobelco 50SR-3 mini excavator. That's a nice little machine. It had a cab, zero tail, hpf bkts. and an hpf prog. linked thumb. Cool little machine. The controls were awesome, everything was on the controls, thumb and the "backhoe operation" part of the excavator. Anyone else get to actually use these on a job?

My dad has a 45sr-2. He has had it about 4 years and really likes it. It has enough power to do everything he needs. There's a picture of it in my signature.

Forgive my ignorance... what does the HPF stand for? Ideas that I came up with quick were Hydro Pressure Fsomething? or maybe High Pressure Flow? Thanks!

The only complaint I have is that being over 6 ft. it's quite a squeeze to get in and out of the cab. The other thing that I don't really like for some reason is the boom is longer than the dipper stick. Kubota did this for a while with their 121-2's and maybe the other models, I don't know, but they got away from that and their dipper sticks are much longer than the boom. For some reason I like that better and Kobelco hasn't done that yet, or at least what I've seen. I'll post pics. of it tomorrow night.
