The other VI was across the street and didn't see it, but Pete Dahlgren showed me around for over an hour and man what a guy.

168hp or 240hp custom Boman carriages are a sight to see as well. No photos, sorry. Guess they made a 9200ft pull at some point too; asked how far out they ever made it.

Dahlgrens are actually on a job right now that could have a Marc VI on it, but one was last out in 2012 and the other was 2014. They flew those Cats on one of those jobs. I hope to see one of them in action at some point in my life.

Anyways, here's their SP23 ~ 600hp 1150 Cummins, whole thing is pretty mint still since the rebuild. Has 5th wheel tongue attached for transport.

Rock Island WA outside of Wenatchee. Was actually looking for a Rainier machine but found this Berger instead; got to see it work a bit and wow, about as fast as a frightened turtle.

I think it is again a Marc IV or M2A? Had a Cat 1693 in it as well. No builder plates on it.

Like a dummy I didn't take any photos of the builder plates on the Dahlgren machines even though I looked at them.
Will get em next time.

Hope someone else might have some recent Berger shots and we can keep the thread going, otherwise you know what they say, fake it til you make it ;)

A Berger orange West Coast Falcon [?] (model WC6S) near Lake Wenatchee turn off - thought it might had been a T19 at 70mph. Still has a Detroit in it, which was orange as well.

Excellent photos & info!
Pete's wife told me at the Log Show that the Mark 6's & a 172 are for sale. They have a new Log Champ 625 being built.

This would be correct! Log Champ has been on order and is coming eventually. The Corona thing has thrown everything off, but it should be delivered by the end of the year, hopefully November.
I'll be back to photograph that machine for sure, and drool on it.

Pete said they were thinking about letting one of the VI go, so if anyone is dying to have one.

Haven’t posted anything here in forever but here’s a Berger from Jerry Debriae’s in Cathlamet, WA a few weeks back.

Great video, sure like hearing the stories from guys like Ernie. Things just got built in the
shop and went to work. Love his boneyard. now most of the big outfits wont have a boneyard might drip alittle oil on the ground .Loggers ingenuity at its best .

Ernie has done and seen some amazing things. Those were the days when a handshake meant something, your financing was your word and men had pride in themselves.
Gone are the days of fabrication & ingenuity.
Boneyards are no more as the gear would never see its sweet 16 these days.
