Has anyone had experience in disassembling the auger and chain drive shafts? The boom will not go up and down and all the shafts are rusted and seized up. The short outside shaft has a 1/2 inch puller hole but it won't budge. I can cut it off and blow a hole through it with my Arcair Slice and weld a big nut to it and use my porta power to pull it but the rest I'm not sure about. It's a little over 100 bucks so not bad. Is this going to be a nightmare to get apart? The shaft on the other end of the auger is 400 bucks and I'd like to save it if at all possible. The set screws in the chain sprocket are broken off too but I have the OK to cut it off if necessary. The rust worms have a good grip on this thing. This is my first dealings with a trencher so anyone with experience willing to share tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
