I have a 2001 6036 skytrak I drove it about a quarter mile and lost all drive and hydraulic functions motor runs and drive line turns to the transmission. Any suggestions on what to check first

Take the engine covers off and there is a quick connect to check pump pressure. Put your gauge on it and see if you got pressure out of your charge pump.

Are you certain that drive line from engine to transmission is turning when under load?

Next step would be to check your hydraulic pressure on the test port. See what your reading there...

Okay. There's a splined coupling on the shaft that hooks to the hydraulic pump. It may be stripped since you say you have no hydraulic functions at all. That would be my first thing to check after you verify no hyd. pressure.

If you lost all hydraulics and drive then the flex plate between the torque converter and flywheel has failed.

Not necessarily. Under no load, all things in neutral, even a busted flex plate would cause enough friction to spin the shaft, but it wouldn't be spinning at the rpm being delivered by the engine. Likewise, even though shafts would be turning, they wouldn't be turning fast enough to develop any work.
