My 3/8 Cornwell impact broke its air valve/trigger assembly last week. I could get parts but it would be about $50 or so to put into a nearly six year old impact. It also has a very touchy trigger that pretty much just goes straight to full bore to sling the tiny bolts you are removing into the belly pan and I’ve about had it with that “feature”.
So I chose to get an Aircat 1076-XL as a replacement. Arrived today, I will install the whip and get it greasy tomorrow. Very compact, and I’ve heard that they are pretty powerful. The body seems just slightly larger around than the Cornwell but the length is definitely a good bit shorter.
