Skyjack 3219 weak drive

I have an older skyjack 3219 and it won't drive up a traile, tilt bed. The electric motor spins but no movement. I don't have a pressure gauge to check pump pressure. Where could I get a cheap gauge? Or should I just go ahead and assume the pump is weak and replace it?

First thing is batteries and connections. How old are the batteries and are there old and new batteries together. Does it travel on flat surface? does it seem strong or sluggish and weak? does the platform raise and lower fast and strong or is it weak also? Has the hydraulic filter been changed? And you need to check to be sure someone hasn't put a rag or something in the tank that's clogging up the suction side. (I got that hat) There may be a screen on the suction pipe as well. If the motor sounds weak I'd load test each battery individually.

I just got it from a friend of mine. And the drive was always weak since he bought it a couple years ago. He had changed the batteries but he says it didn't help the drive. It drives on flat surfaces somewhat ok. But it won't go up a trailer which is not that steep of an angle.
The platform seems to go up ok, but I didn't load it to the max.
I didn't look at it much as I just got it, but wanted to know what to look at.
Thanks for your help.

The first thing I'd check if you know the batteries are good and hot is the suction pipe in the tank. A rag in there will restrict oil supply and cause all sorts of issues. The motor may need repaired. Does the motor sound sluggish when it kicks in? Are all functions slow? Check the grounds and be sure the cables aren't corroded. Look at the motor and be sure the connections are clean and tight. What is your model and serial number?

Sounds foolish but check the brake release valve and pump. Seen several that have been hit with forklifts or backed into an object and the valve gets damaged. You seem to have somewhat normal flat level drive but wont pull up a slight incline. Worth checking... Make sure it pumps up then the rod into the valve fully kicks out and is not bend. Stuck etc... I wouldn't start parts swapping. That gets expensive quick.

Ok thanks. I'll have to wait to look at it until I get it back. Buddy borrowed it...

I know this is an old thread but I'm having the exact same issue with my SJII 3219. The batteries are fresh and the lift and steering functions are fast and responsive but travel speed has limited power and will not go into high speed mode on a flat surface when fully lowered. It just started all of the sudden, nothing progressive. I have not checked the brake but would that prevent it from going into the high travel speed?

Not sure exactly where, but there is a switch somewhere that tells the machine the lift is down, to engage high speed. Check that
