I just realized that my older model Case 1840 JAF0046104 has planetry gearbox because it has a serial number before JAF0067438 and therefore does not need the case HTO additive BUT the planetaries need 1 pint of oil. perside. Do I need to pull the cab out to check this? what is the procedure to check the planetaries fluid level. I do not see it in the operator manual.

On the 1845c, the planetarys are under the cover plate at your feet. Just lift that out and you have access to them. Pic shows aux pedals/valve at top. Planetary with fill hole at bottom left.
I'm guessing that the 1840 is similar.
