Got it. Hydraulics guy said cycle the cylinders back and forth a few times, shut the machine off and let any foam subside.
Repeat up to six times, increasing the stroke each time. Goal is keep foaming oil out of the pump. I like the idea of not compressing the air/oil more than necessary.

I forgot to mention that the side shift cylinder rod needed to be replaced, ($$$). Apparently it was bent. It extends to the right and that was my favorite side for most of my work, pull from right to left. I now understand that was the weakest side as the rod is fully extented when leverage is greatest. On a worn moldboard it would be better to use the retracted rod side and pull from left to right putting the stress on the better braced cylinder rather than the rod. You pay for your education when you own the machine.
