I think that c7 has a big oil plug at the back of the head. Allen plug, I think it’s about 1.5” diameter. You should keep spare orings on hand for that plug. When that o ring actually blows it’ll really dump some oil.

That's good news, and a easy fix. There's a big bracket holding up the muffler in the way right now, I need to get it out of the way to see where the oil is even coming from, but a leaky plug is great compared to a head gasket.

If you have a S/N for the engine I could take a look in SIS and see if I can see something. Just a quick look on a C-7 over the road engine shows this:

I don't know anything about sycamore trees but I would be worried about that one if near any structure!

Reminds me about something said about some dogs, "All Bark No Bite" in this case it would be "All Bark No wood"!

Interesting note. Been struggling yet with the oil pressure sending unit/ wiring on the liebherr. Called in a guy who is better with electrical than I am. I have the old sending unit and the new one, and guess what- neither of them work correctly, according to him/ liebherr support.

So when the original engine lost the remote oil filter line, I was probably still getting the "stuck" inaccurate reading from the sending unit. I have a manual gauge now plumbed into the lower cab, but neither sending unit I currently have will work correctly. New sending unit is on the way from liebherr.

So the youngest daughter is in her third year of french class in high school. And they have to do some kind of video presentation, so what does my lovely daughter want to do for the presentation? Guillotine. For kids play toys. That's my girl.

(This was our saturday father daughter project)

So awhile back I bought a hydraulic dumping skip box. Its set up to run off a reel unit on a boom truck with a "roofers package", where they have a spring unroll, twin hose set up.

I'd like to be able to use the box with any of my cranes, and don't want to be plumbing into all of them for hydraulic. So I bought a 12v dump trailer two way pump, and have got it kind of set up (of course it got damaged in shipping- the solenoid was broken off). I'm wondering if I'll need to go to deep cycle batteries. I plan on installing a 12v charger in the box right beside the batteries so I could plug it in if the batteries need charged up.

Right now I just have a pair of 12v that are good that we pulled out of a crane. I'm curious how many cycles I'll get before needing a charge.

I went with the corded control, I debated on remote and decided to keep it simple for right now, I can always add on the remote.

Batteries should do several cycles before get weak, not like pulling a full starter on a engine. If can set up a trailer plug charge when in transport(Aux Circuit).

Is it a power up/power down or gravity down system? I ask because I have a dump trailer with power up/power down. It makes 4 full dump cycles on a fresh deep cycle battery and is depleted enough that it can't raise a load a fifth time. This is charging from auxilliary circuit on truck as well. It doesn't charge back up as fast as it depletes. I usually just plan around this, limit my loads per day and use a regular car charger the night before I need the trailer.

Its power up power down. I put two batteries in series in it, hoping to have a little more kick. I shouldn't have the loads that even a dump trailer has, because the load in the box is helping open the doors, and then they shut empty.

I even thought about putting a solar charger on it, like a cattle fencer system, but I'm afraid it would get broke in and out of a dumpster.

One of the doors doesn't shut - its been tweaked and rewelded, so I'm going to fix that first. I think I may have to use some angle iron to get it to seal a little better. It would hold shingle debris right now, but I think I have a rock roof tear off coming up, and I don't think it will seal smaller rock.
