We have an intermittent problem with this, it can start and run fine, but will then lock up with red warning on dash and will not allow selection of any forward or reverse gear. We have had service guys out to it, they cleared the codes (because there were pages of them!) and waited to see if fault reoccurred. In checking it over, they also found a very loose/bad crimp on the earth wire from the dash, which was repaired and reconnected. Its worked fine for a while but now its doing the same thing again. The earth wire appears to be secure this time.

We have had the handbrake switch replaced, as that what the technicians said it would be when they first came in. That made no difference.

Any thoughts/advice on where we can start with checking this ourselves?

Thanks

Thanks Mark.

I'll try that and see what it says.

We've had tech back out again and in moving the steering column covers, the alarm stopped and the error cleared and its been fine since! So we are inclined to think at the moment we have a loose/bad connection somewhere under the dash/steering covers - but whilst its not doing it we can't see how we can diagnose it! Being able to get the codes up though without calling in a tech guy will be a great help though. Will up date this when we have got the codes. Cheers
