Has anyone heard that digging over the idlers will damage an excavator if im ONLY tearing up CTA? The asphalt has already been milled.

Been running equipment for 53 years haven’t heard that . Technically starting and using any machine is damaging it(wear and tear).

I meant to say sprocket. I dig/tear up CTA over my sprockets bc of the extra weight so i don't bounce around as much. Ive read that digging over them will cause damage but im not really digging.
