Just purchased my first tbl. The pervious owner was very religous with greaseing the pins but not so much on changeing fluids..the rear end was black and the trans was slightly burnt looking..i dumped both oil and used the only oil i could find that was from princess auto. Is the oil in the picture suitable for my trans? My brakes are already workin 100 percent better even tho i know i need to do multiple flushes..20191205_184433.jpg 20191205_184425.jpg I cannot for the life of me find new holland 134 oil. Thanks!

Ok. Do you have a part number for filter or is it something i can take to napa and they will have it in stock? The nearest new holland dealer is 8 hours away from me round trip.

NAPA should have a listing for all filters,, if you plan on keeping backhoe you need a manual, check ebay, most people will help you on this site,, BUT not down to every nut and bolt sizes,,, you have do some research on your own,,, GOOD LUCK

Your link goes to the manual for a New Holland LB75.
Go here for the 555E manual ---> https://partstore.construction.newholland.com/us/NashvilleTractorInc/parts-search.html#epc::mr55407
Thousands of the parts in the manual are superseded by a newer part number. Hold your computer curser (pointer) over the blue dot that has an exclamation mark in it and the new part number will appear.
The filter shown in the image now has the part number 84343800. Less than $60.00. I take no responsibility if that is the correct filter for your 555e ! You will need to verify it yourself.

Something seems to be killing my battery. Even with the battery disconnect shut off it is still stone dead every time i go to start it..i even bought a brand new battery. Im kinda stumped on this one..with it running i got 14.xx volts so i oridginally ruled out a dead alternator but now im not sure..

Right off the bat, I'm suspicious of your battery connections. I had the same problem and it turned out to be my battery connections were not tight enough. So I would start with that and check your battery cables and the connections at your battery, starter, ground, etc.

I wouldn't trust your battery disconnect, charge it up good, then remove one battery cable, then let it sit a week, if it starts when you hook the battery up again, then the battery is probably fine and the disconnect is leaking, or something is still powered with the disconnect off.

Steering fluid is common to the rest of the hydraulic system. Change the system oil and filter and you are good on steering assuming it doesn't have any problems.

I use the Travelers Premium oil from Tractor Supply in my 575E. Haven't had any oil related problems other than it being old and developing leaks.

Check to see if you have a low AC voltage (like 7 volts) at the W connector on your alternator when running referenced to a good ground. If that is present, then the alternator is doing its part for the tachometer.

Little update to this...the alternator checked out to be fine. I cleaned up a few connections and addes some terminal clamps to a few wires. However the big thing i have learnes is that the exciter wore needed to ground the alt case and not be on the 7v terminal. The pervious owner had it backwards. Backho is charging fine and my tach even works!. Now on to a intermittent wiper blade issue. I also changed rear axle fluid twice as it was black and brakes work queitly again..also changed trans fluid and coolant. I was also able tk get all my filters at Maritjme case dealer for a very reasonable price. There is no new holland dealer close to me.

That's hydraulic fluid? Mine looks like honey or new motor oil. That looks like something else? I would not put that back in my hydraulic system.
