It wouldn't take long to get used to it. I've driven several old Fuller 5 spds that had strange shift patterns. Most were backed up with a 4 spd auxiliary box, some you had to be careful not to get the sticks twisted together or you would be on the side of the road sorting things out.Here is one you all might like.
