Drive it like you stole it!
Not to get too far OT here but that one always hit me wrong.

If I was going to "steal" say a car I would drive nice and easy, signaling turns and obeying all traffic rules till I got to the "chop house"!
Way too many times you hear about some drug smuggler or other Ne'er-do-well getting caught when being pulled over for some stupid little traffic infraction or a bad taillight.

So----you want to be a mechanic?

Was born under a wandering star.

You look like you were pulled through a knot hole backwards

He looks like the hind wheels of hard luck.

Bad day? Your look'n like the last rose of summer.

Maybe it should read “Drive it like a rented car!”

"You look like five miles of bad road".
"P for Plenty" Part of the formula using explosives, but has many other applications.
"slicker than whale poop in a ice flow".
"so ugly you could make a freight train take a gravel road"
"hotter than a half sexed fox in a forest fire" that one loses it appeal when made PG friendly.

I have many more …...I will be on the site all day.

First day as a Truck Mechanic, to test drive a 8V71T RTO 9513. Senior tech walks me out says to slam my hand in the door three times to get GOOD And Angry then get in the cab. DID NOT SLAM my own hand, he sits with a yard stick in Jump seat, every move of Left Leg toward clutch after start off until come to a stop slapped right hand on shifter! Was essentially taught to Float Shift as the madder I got the Better I got.
