In the Caterpillar world, all research starts with a serial number.
In this Screenshot_20191111-193824_Chrome.jpg case, there are 3 possibilities, and the 3rd is absolutely different internally than the others. And, it's quite possible that the 1st 2 vary quite a bit, too.

That would've all been good info to put in your OP.
When was the last time it was serviced, just out of curiosity.?
Try resetting the Service Indicator first and see where that gets you.
If you have a manual the info in HMC's last post should be in it. Did you miss that.?

One of our customers has one of these and I've done some work on it. The technical info in SIS is pretty scant and in my considered opinion it's made by another manufacturer with Cat livery stuck on it. There are some telltale signs such as automotive style captive nuts and DIN spec metric fasteners which I've never seen on any other Cat offering.
Does anyone recognise a similar display from another breed of machine?

Actually, this fits your symptoms, although if your serial number is correct you should already have the latest and greatest instrument panel fitted from the factory.

Yes when i got this mini ex i changed all oils, and filters, and glowplugs.
Those little buttons on the display they dont work, thats why i couldnt reset it.
So it looks like i have to change the whole panel?? But the hours will start from 0 again?

I'd suggest that you follow the instructions on the Service Magazine posted above by Cmark and check the electrical connections on the back of the panel as a first step. A long shot, I know, but if that doesn't fix it then it appears that you're in for a new panel. Price looks to be somewhere around the US$250 mark.
