machine serial # T0762BX746942. Anybody ever done these? are they a straightforward seal replacement or is there something more to it?

Planetary powershift transmission has a lot of stuff in there. C1 and C2 clutches require a spring compressor to disassemble. B1 to B4 brakes need no special tools. Hope you have TM1490 repair manual. You will need it.

Sorry, shouldve been a little more specific. Just input and output seals. not getting into the guts just trying to keep the fluid in.

The input and output shaft seals should be a straightforward seal replacement. Just take note of the depths they are in before removal so you can install them to the same depth.

alright, bringing up old stuff. the manual actually says to remove the output shaft to do the output seal replacement. that seems to be a bit extreme to me. but there is a retainer that looks to be a bitch to get out. someone already busted it up a bit.

I believe the shaft would be removed to replace the sleeve, not the seal. Please post a picture of the transmission output shaft.

You should be able to replace the seal without removing the shaft. The shaft would only have to come out to replace the sleeve that is on the shaft. If you have to replace the sleeve, shaft removal should be able to be done in the machine. Lets hope the sleeve is OK
