hello, I saw several TIMBERKING brand machines on the net, I couldn't find information on these forestry machinery, I think the parent company has closed down or been absorbed by another brand, just a lumberjack saw manufacturer with this brand, you could give me some information about the brand and the reliability of the machines thanks to the kind of forwarder which in your opinion is the best thanks again

Timber king was bought out by cat. Most were powered by John Deere engines and were pretty decent machines from what I’ve seen and parts are still available. As far as the best forwarder goes, ponsse gets my vote.

The forwarder was built originally by Fabtek, the loader looks like a prentice which were both Blount till Cat bought Blount out.
To a forwarder we run Deere/TJ without issues @17k without touching anything major and the last 4K doing 36’ logs.

this type of machinery, which would be a wheel loader that has a front chopper, what can you tell me. in my part we use a hydraulic arm attached to the tractor which we call a hydraulic rotary cutter

The European Union diesel engine emission rules are likely to be staunch/ tough. Probably send an old engine machine to the scrap heap if crossing a border.
Who can provide support if the forwarder breaksdown in Italy? John Deere appear to do only ag equipment in Italy, 1st choice might be Ponsse - mercedes engine etc and fly a mechanic from Finland with parts.
HSM (Germany)might have an FPT engine.
https://www.hsm-forest.net/home_en.html (Iveco/ FPT engine)

Muething - germany? (cut some good slope angles)

Claas Xerion - ahwi (plenty of kilowatts and newton metres)

Berti - Italia

Fendt 936 - Seppi (Italia)

https://www.clohse-group.com/ (Belgium - might import a TCI/ Tigercat approved used machine, with the correct tier/ Euro stage engine, Europe does narrow width axles on skidders)
Tigercat 726D - mulcher

Tigercat 726E- tree feller buncher

https://www.cgt.it/en/who-we-are (the Italian Caterpillar dealer if Weiler brings out a high tier/ Euro Stage rated engine machine) (Weiler - https://www.weilerforestry.com/ )

Maltempo sul Triveneto del 26-30 ottobre 2018
More than one and a half million cubic meters of forest have been cut down in 24 hours. Wind and rain have devastated entire forests in Trentino, Alto Adige and Veneto. Centuries-old woods have been razed to the ground by gusts of wind of up to 150 km an hour, with vortices and air horns.
on the Asiago plateau the whirlwind, which broke out between Monday afternoon and evening, devastated the woods of the Sette Comuni district, breaking down or breaking, according to a first estimate, between 250,000 and 300,000 among trees and plants. Thousands and thousands of firs have also been destroyed on the Sette Comuni plateau in the Vicenza Alps. The same fate for the trees of the Comelico and Val Visdende woods in the province of Belluno.
The hecatomb of trees from Trentino to Veneto, in 24 hours I lost more than a million cubic meters
many forest companies are equipping themselves with machinery to collect the fallen trunks, and to reclaim the areas devastated by the bad weather, many heavy machinery is needed, then the affected areas must be restored by planting and reforesting the mountains to avoid landslides and hydrogeological instability
it is a huge job that I believe will last several years and large funds have been allocated, the wood has a very low price given the enormous amount left by the storm, it will be a big economic affair. we must equip ourselves

I have looked at a few more pictures of the windstorm damage. A fairly difficult job.
Ponsse on the syncro-winch in the US
Ponsse - winch

Eco-forst (Austria) are developing a dual winch machine that might be useful.
https://www.ecoforst.at/en/

Treetop Forestry - UK (Scotland moderate slope loggers - they might have some older machines that might still work on a slope/ hill.)

Koller 300 - just an old tractor with a Koller cable system.

Alpine prefer to convert new excavators for warranty purposes. Excavators cable logging.

thank you for your intervention, it is clear that many people will speculate about this natural event to make money economically. every evil does not come to harm or to peggo there is never an end - like an earthquake or another disastrous event after a war, whoever intervenes for the reconstruction and to restore the damage is enriched and makes money. if any user friend had other opinions to express I invite him to participate thanks

The Timberking line of machinery was sold by CAT. It was the transition machine just after CAT purchased Blount which manufacturered hydrax, prentice and CTR. The TK knuckle booms were identical to the Prentice exept for engine, the TK were fitted with cat/Perkins engines. Also the TK rubber tire bunchers were the same as the hdyroax / Prentice(Cummins) exept the engine. TK had 3126B and they were a beast. I have no Knowledge related to the cut to lenth equipment.
