One of our Macks hauling a Sandvik D55 rig. 738 wasn't the regular tractor for that trailer. I need to see if I can find some photos of the big Mack we had. What a POS that thing was.

Here's a 637E leaving the Cat dealer in Selma, CA sometime in 89. Swapped 2 worn out D's for 2 new ones that day. Wore me out.

Same road, just a little further down The Hill. it might not look like it but that is about an 8% grade at that particular location if my memory serves me correctly. Highway B-475 from La Negra to Mina Escondida, Chile.

That D10on the trailer really shows the size of that trailer. That drill is huge.

Nige, what is axle width on the main carrier and how long did it take to load that machine?

That's a unique (at least to me) looking jeep under the back of the scraper. When moving the Cat 660 we used a 9 axle rig and the jeep had a cradle that the rear scraper tires set in between the axles.

That's just an 8 tire dolly. The D&Es put 44-45K on it with a permitted max of 46,400. I helped a guy once move a 660 and he used a 16 tire basket dolly in back.

We used a 16 tire 2 axle basket also. Also had to drop the lift mechanism for the gate.
