Anyone happen to have an electronic service manual or complete parts list for a 24-7-365 MHS sawhead? Off of an 05 machine, trying to determine if upper and lower rotation motors within the head are interchangeable? If not, Quadco inbound...

Some photos of a yarder that a friend owns, It hasn't moved in 24 years. His dad bought it in 1975 with a 1000 hrs on it if he remembered right. The D8 14A they also bought new in 1957.
Wet clutch, It hadn't been started in 16 years. With a small amount of work it fired right off. He owns another yarder this brand and only a little newer, he still uses it now and then.

One of the very first 071s. Only made about 4 or 5 on terex carriers before we went to fabricated carriers. Nice to know there is at least 1 still out there even if it isn't pulling wood. Regards d.d.
Very cool! Never saw one on a Terex before. I worked under several that were on tank carriers.

In the thumbnail when I first opened this thread I saw the Terex undercarriage and green and got all excited thinking it was a West coaster as we need a tube for one. When I saw it was one of the first 071s I was even more pleased because that is an great piece of history.

I would have said that was a tank carrier. What makes it a Terex? I'm confused. I don't know anything about tanks or Terex, just following this with interest.
You are absolutely right. It is a tank carrier. I was thrown by the colour. I should have been paying more attention. I also didn't remember the tank carriers started at such a low serial number. Thinking about it a bit more tho I seem to remember we used a different model number on the terex machines and started the 700 numbers with the tank carriers. I also had forgotten that we didn't go straight from terex to fabricated carriers but had a long production run on the tank carriers in between. Sorry for the misinformation. It's been a long long time since I worked on them and I should have thought a little longer before posting. Regards d.d.

Yes it is a tank carrier, so is the other one he owns. And it is only off by 40 on the serial number, only slightly newer and it is painted orange over the original green.
This one here folded the tower not long after they got it, and Madill built them a new stouter tower. I have the yarder whistle off this one if I can find it. I used it to
get peoples attention in the shop some years ago.
