loosing power when I open throttle. Changed air and fuel filter, no change. Also putting out black smoke when it starts running rough and losing power. Thinking about checking fuel pick up in tank. Any help appreciated.

Pick ups ARE a problem or have been known to be..
Take the AIR filters OUT & run it.. see what happens..
Check the turbo for oil leaks in the air inlet & exhaust pipes..

I did take filters out. Still loosing power. Have notice blown oil from a rubber line that looks like it is connected to small radiator on top rear of engine.

Usually black smoke is too much fuel or not enough air, check all your hoses from your turbo charger to your intake, make sure you don't have a hole in one of the hoses and losing boost pressure, then take the hose off the turbocharger and check the impeller itself and make sure it's not damaged.not sure what the radiator looking thing is you're talking about but if it's the intercooler and its engine oil coming out of the hose that would suggest the turbo has failed

How do I get to the fuel tank pick up tube on my S530? Just bought the service Manuel and it says nothing about removing pick up tube. To remove fuel tank you have to remove engine!!!!! Got to be better way.

Serial # or do you have Kubota or Doosan engine? If its Kubota you can remove left rear wheel, and remove plate bolted to frame and you can access tube from there or you can use a fuel can and just run a hose attached to primer bulb to fuel can, prime system and run on remote tank to help trouble shoot issue. If its Doosan, pull the engine.

Do you or have you had any low rail pressure codes? Your fuel injectors have a plastic cover on top of them, remove the plastic cover and you will see the rubber return lines on the back side of the injectors. Very carefully remove the rubber return lines off the injectors, now this is going to make a little mess but start the engine and see if one of the injectors has more fuel squirting out than the others. If you don't have any rail pressure codes then you don't have a fuel pickup issue, sounds like an injector issue or if you're still getting black smoke I would say turbo or charge hose from the turbo.

The black smoke can go 2 ways. Too much fuel or not enough air. Is it puffing black smoke out under load only? Or just from simply raising the RPM to high idle no load?

I'm not familiar with that particular engine but I do know that a failed injector can cause smoke, loss of power and engine vibration. How's the engine oil level on the dipstick? Has it been increasing? Can you smell fuel in the engine oil? Have you taken the temperature at each port on the exhaust manifold? One hole that's colder than the rest will mean there's an injector/injector control issue.

Have had no low rail pressure codes. Since it ran the same from a clean portable tank I think we can rule out fuel pick up. Will ck the injector return line next. Thanks.

Oil level is normal, mostly black smoke when under a load, will check dip stick smell when I go over. Sounds and looks normal at low speed but going up a hill or just lifting bucket at low speed will cause it to slow down and start putting out black smoke.

Had a diesel mechanic come over yesterday and we found the hose from intercooler to the turbo had blown out and was spraying oil. Also had oil in hose from turbo back to engine. He thinks the turbo is bad. We will replace hose see how it runs, then check for oil in line before replacing turbo. Are we heading in right direction?

Yes, but slowly..
The intercooler shouldn't be spraying oil seeing its "air cooling"..
IF theres enough oil in it, it'll get sucked into the engine & you'll have a run-away on your hands.!!
The oil cooler should be taken out & "washed"..{drained}

The hose that is busted and had some oil in it is part #7219224 Hose Air and as you look at engine from rear it is connected to Exchanger,Oil Water Air #NA8344 was 7182806 at the right rear bottom. Hope this makes my problem a little clearer. As you all can tell I am not a mechanic by trade. Appreciate all the help.
