I would check the park brake switch. I'm not sure if you have a mechanical parking brake or a hydraulic park brake. Either way there is a switch/sensor that will indicate the parking brake has been released or set. Is the park brake light off when you release it or is it still on? If the machine thinks it is engaged then it will lock out the transmission control . Good luck to you and I hope this helps

if its the parking brake, the machine should buzz when trying to put in gear.
also check the clutch/dump pedal switch if your machine has one.
also check the fuses. sometimes they get corroded and need to be wiggled around.
more than likely an electrical issue.

Posting the complete model and serial number of your JCB might help you to get a better solution.
Any codes on the dash display?
Another thing; Try jacking the wheels off the ground and see if they're turning with the engine running and in neutral.
