working on a 314 that stalls the engine at high idle stalling the stick in or out and also stalls the engine at boom up full stall.(2 pump stall stalls the enginw). checked prv and it sweeps fine, not sure if its an lack of power issue or hyd issue, kind of at a loss. serial for machine is pca00659 engine is 6lk35802

It's a 2005 314C for those looking it up. Have you checked for fault codes?

Going back to basics is easy enough. Check the engine air filter and change if necessary, clean out the water separator, change all fuel filters. Then try it again.

Thanks for your response , already went for the basics,it has 10psi of boost and fuel pressure is within spec, it doesn't smoke or hesitate, it runs great other than if you stall the stick or boom it stalls the engine

I haven't seen any engine pulling full power and only pull 10 PSI of boost. That's about 20 inches of water and most of the turbo engines I've had experience with ran 30 to 40 inches of boost and full power high idle.

On the fault codes, do you mean none are showing on the monitor panel or that you went into the diagnostic section of the monitor to watch what happens while operating the machine?

I couldn't find boost spec on sis but mechanic at local cat dealer said between 8 an 12 is normal for 3064 engines, no faults on the monitor, or on the laptop. Did a prv sweep test and prv checked out on the laptop and also on mechanical gauge

It doesn't really add up then. No fault codes and someone says the engine is running right. I'd probably pull the hydraulic oil filter than and maybe take an oil sample. How many hours do you have on the machine and pump?

Pump standby pressure good ?
NFC reliefs working ?
Hyd pressures checked ?
Pump pressure sensors working properly ?
What about if the back up switch turned on ?

My pca 314c gave me fits over that stupid screen water separator. Finally threw the damned thing away and put a separator on from a 322b.
Fuel pressure would drop to zero when two pump stalling. What is your fuel pressure at low idle? High idle? 2 pump stall?
Never tested the boost pressure, though.

Update. Pulled and cut pump case drain filter and found quite a bit of brass and steel. Will be pulling the pumps

sent pumps in, found pin backed out of piston that controls the swash plate and the pump couldn't stroke back causing it to lug the engine under load

Thanks for reply, I just saw it funny enough. I ended up pulling the regulators and found the same thing-one of the pistons backed off. They were threaded onto the spool and worked itself off.
I still think that engine should be putting out more than 10psi tho
