Has anyone bought any CS Unitec tools?

Has anyone bought any of this company’s tools?

Some of their stuff looks to be manufactured by someone else and rebadged. The mag drills are BDS Machine, which look top-of-the-line, but have a CS Unitec sticker on them.

I was considering one of their cold metal chop saws. I’m curious if it’s any good, and if it’s sold under any other brand names.

I’d like to hear any opinions of the company or their tools.

I'd guess that piece of pipe is going to jump out of the vice pretty damn quick.
I have an Evolution cold saw, $200. Works well, I don't see anything about that Unitec saw that say it's worth another $400.
Without seeing one in the flesh who knows. Home Depot sells the Evolution if you want to look at one.

I currently have and use a Milwaukee 8" Metal Saw, love it as cold cut edges, minimal sprue.

I’d be willing to pay that if it was a good saw that held up.

I’ve burned up lots of abrasive saws. Probably more than $700 worth. They’re all junk. Some of the Dewalts have such a thin base you can twist them by hand. Can’t cut anything accurately.

Never tried a cold saw.

The local distributor claims to rent out CS Unitec tools for refinery turnarounds. They say they are tough. They don’t stock any of these particular saws, though. I was hoping to hear some first hand opinions.

I have found out that the saws are also sold under the name Jepson. Here is a review on YouTube.

I’m still considering it. I’ll give an update if I buy one.
