I have a Case 580 Super L with the Cummins engine used on many Case backhoes from E to early M's. The bearings on the radiator fan support are getting noisy - The replacement part from Case is fairly expensive - Case part # 5802200525 which replaced earlier part # 2852170. Looks like it is just 2 bearings and a shaft in a cast housing.

Wondering if anyone has ever rebuilt one of these by replacing the bearings ?

You can get the bearings and races from a local bearing house if they can read the bearing numbers. Make sure your housing is good to reuse.

Got it apart - easy to remove the four bolts in the support to the engine but the 4 bolts holding the fan blade were real tough to break loose. Once I had the support off there is a bolt head on the back side and large washer that holds the center shaft in the bearing. There is only one bearing - a double row ball bearing held in place in the housing with a snap ring front and rear. Got it apart but dont see any markings on the bearing - I had to cut the inner race part way from the back with a torch to get the center shaft out so there might have been markings in that area. The bearing has seals on both sides and there is no separate seal.
Going to measure the bearing and see if I can find one to atch

Those bearings can have the inner race in one piece or two pieces.
The one piece is alot easier to assemble as if you are not careful, the 2 piece one can be easily damaged.

There is no separate seal, only sealed bearings.
