Going from a CAT 212 to this machine is going to be fun.

All the blade functions work fine. I tried the articulate function & it is non responsive. What should I look for? My books have not arrived yet. The machine has not rust or hard weather issues.

Also, not sure what the button on the floor is on the drivers side getting in & out. It has a cover over it with a sticker that says blade must be on the ground.

Thanks for the help.

Forget about the button on the floor, I figured out that it releases the center pin on the blade. Luckily it works well.

Based on my 570A, the button on the floor is for disengaging the pins on the saddle for putting the blade in back sloping positions. If the pins won't retract, I have some experience there. (Don't know about the failure to articulate issue, but remember that CAT was behind the game then.)
Provided you are using the articulate functions on either side of the steering wheel, then the problem probably resides in hydralic circuits and shouldn't be too difficult to resolve.

Well now I have to go look for the other one. I ordered the OP one, 350 pages, so I'm sure it will help on some things.

Is anyone familiar with the blade controls on these? I had wheel lean this morning & tonight when I took off again it would not work. Kinda understand why it has low hours... can not seem to use it without minor issues.

Does engine rpm make a difference on the function (slow idle vs fast idle). Check the linkage from your handle to the control valve as well for worn out pivots, etc. The functions that do work, do they seem to work OK or is everything slow? Can you provide a serial number?

No, RPM does not change it. It is a 1985 year model. This was a govt. grader that was put into service in the Air Force originally. It has little if any wear, if I raise the blade an inch on one side it lowers it on the other. Judging by the wear items & the seat, it has low hours. It was a govt. surplus item a local county had purchased.
