Pit Excavation

Hi, I am trying to get an idea of the equipment needed and timeline to excavate a 20x80 by 60 feet deep pit. I am assuming that due to the small footprint excavators should be used (rather than scrapers). Excavators will create an access road to the bottom and dump trucks will take the soil away. The pit is in hard soil with side slopes at 1:1 grade (45*).

What is the most efficient way to excavate this pit? How many excavators and trucks should be used and how long would it take?

Thanks

You are going to have to bench yourself down to get to that depth . How did you come up with 1:1 slope . Around here any thing over 20’ has to be engineered. As far as equipment I would go with a 100,000-110,000 pound machine ,can be moved without major disassembly. One machine should be good due small work area. Type of trucks depends on how steep of a road you are going .
Time line depends on number variables you run into
