Case 580b Hydra leveling cylinder problem

I've read a few posts on here, about the Case 580ck and 580b Hydra leveling system problems. It seems that the cylinder on the right side tends to break the ram just below the pin. Mine had now done the same thing. I've read the this cylinder can be bypassed. Is this accurate and if so, how do you go about it. This cylinder affects the bucket tilt. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to HEF, Ronald !
I would advise you to repair the cylinder rod and leave the hydra-leveling capability intact.
Without it you will need to constantly keep adjusting the bucket tilt as you raise the hoist.
If you don't you will quite likely dump anything in the bucket over the back of it and injure yourself.

from what i can tell. it appears that if u lower the loader with the bucket curled back it creates a huge amount of stress on the hydra level pivots and loader arm in general. i would suspect that if u were to raise the loader with the bucket tilted fully down it would do the same thing but the stress would be applied to in the opposite direction on the hydra level cyl and loader arms. that hydra level cylinder acts as a slave cylinder basically. pushing fluid into the curl cylinders to aid in keeping the bucket from dumping the load on the operator as u raise the loader. i always make sure the bucket is not fully tilted as it’s lowered and often have to adjust the bucket as the loader drops to prevent it from adding the extra strain to the loader frame. u can see the extra flex on things when the bucket is curled all the way and u continue to lower the loader arms. just my 2c tho. lol.
