That makes for good operation,do you grip pilots with your hands or use finger tips to manipulate controls , I bought a hoe and wanting to start out in a good way, I know every body has different styles, thanks

Good day
I believe it is what works best for you often you can see skilled operators griffin the control levers i different ways without going into left & right preferences. Hope it helps.
Kind regards

Good grip with fingertip pressure. That's what works for me. As uffex stated, yer gonna have to try this, that and everything else till you find what works for you. Trial and error.

That question is similar to the "Which control pattern is better - backhoe or excavator". Everyone will have a personal opinion and some will argue their preference is the only one that works and blah, blah, blah. We've been there, discussed it and all have the hats commemorating it. :D

It will be your personal preference and you're going to have figure it out - through time in the seat, that's the only way.;)

Both. Good hand grip when everything is 'solid', switch to fingers or a combination when things get 'shaky'.

X2 fingertips. If you use hands, and excavator shakes, that unstablesness is amplified as it makes you jab into the controls.
This.

Start out gripping them until you get comfortable with the controls, as you get quicker, the machine will move more, and you will find your body makes sloppy bounces and you start to notice them in your arms, and they translate to the sticks.

Depending on the machine ergonomics, my grip changes, but I have converted to finger tips or Griffin claw. Depending on functions, rollers and buttons I have to use, my grip changes based on activity/daily comfort levels.

As jecky says, if the auxiliary oil is run off buttons on joysticks, you have to fully grab the stick to free fingers up for buttons...
