my 863 when you go to start it with the key it don't engage the starter, when you turn the key on it beeps but it won't ingage starter, If you jump the starter solenoid putting 12 volts to the start terminal it starts right up if you have the key. I check the fuses on the bottom right corner next to the engine they were all good. Any ideals

If your fuse box is in the engine compartment to the right of the engine then you have a C or F series machine. On those you should have 4 relays on the left side next to the flywheel housing, one of those relays is for the starter. Could just be a bad relay. Swap the starter relay with one of the other relays and see if that fixes it.

I don't have a manual for an 863. Should be 4 relays. Find the wire that connects to the starter solenoid that powers up the solenoid and see what color that wire is. Go back to your relays and find the one that has that color wire connected to terminal 87 of the relay.

The key switch just started to work, The relay closes to the rear door is the relay that goes to the starter solenoid, pin 87 is the wire that goes to the starter solenoid it is a white wire with a green stripe on it, pin 85 is the wire coming from the key switch. If it happens again I will know to trouble shoot it. Thanks for your help

You got it. Terminal 87 is the normally open contact on the relay, terminal 30 should have battery power on it. When you trip the relay it connects terminal 30 to terminal 87. Terminal 85 is input from the switch to power up the coil inside the relay, terminal 86 is ground for the coil.
