Agreed.

I hope that you will do the same thing as Cory and start a new thread on your Griz. I for one would love to watch the progress.

All I can/will say about the price is I was okay with it. In my opinion market value for something like this is very subjective as there really isn’t a baseline to judge from. I have been interested in these trucks for awhile and I’ve been lurking waiting for one to come up for sale so when this one presented itself, it was time to make hay while the sun was shining as they say.

I got the truck running and driving today under it’s own power with a jerry can fuel tank. Next step will be removing and cleaning the fuel tanks and re-plumbing the lines. It was great to drive it for the first time even if it was short distances!

More of the little things to do....
Dash is apart and I pulled the crank trigger tach out..It has never worked properly. It will be on its way back to Autometer on Monday for inspection/repair.
I purchased 2 spare tires for the truck.Currently figuring out mounts for them in the box. These may end up on the trailer I have yet to build for the truck.
Had a crop of the rubber mat big enough to do the tail gate.Made sense to me to do the gate as well..

Installed my spare tire mounts today. Its a very simple system.Tires and mounts come out in 10 minutes just leaving the aluminum mounting plates on the truck. As they take up so much room I probably wont leave them like this for daily use but I wanted the ability to mount two spares for road trips...
Tires are sucked tight against the sides of the box.

Hoping to get the rest of my box mat this weekend. There are crops already under the spares to set the height.....grizzly 002.JPG grizzly 005.JPG grizzly 006.JPG grizzly 008.JPG

Is that rough cut cedar? Really hard to find where I live and I'm planning on getting some in Montana soon.
Does Mary have a single mother or sister?

Yes Mary has some sisters. All married tho.Her family is in Sherwood Park Alberta.Four generations of them, big enough to start their own town.
Lumber is just pressure treated.I don't know when it was switched from green to brown.Last time I needed some Cedar I had to get it brought over from Vancouver Island....
Fueled the truck up yesterday (100+liters) Did a quick mileage check (1st one).Truck is getting 20+ miles to the gallon.Pretty happy with the Cummins..

I’ve made a lot of progress in the last couple of weeks but unfortunately not much that is picture worthy. I have the truck running and driving, headlights/clearance lights, wipers/washer fluid pump are now working. I took the old headliner out and have generally cleaned up the inside of the cab. I removed both fuel tanks and have cleaned and painted them, I should have the new fuel level senders installed tomorrow. I’ve started cleaning up the frame under the cab and the underside of the floors, I’m hoping to have it prepped and painted under there by the end of the week so I can reinstall the fuel tanks and start running the new fuel lines and I’ve already installed a new fuel/water separator on the firewall. There have been some good challenges so far but it is enjoyable work.
