Bobcat 763 with serial number (well they call it product identification number) 512239451

all the manuals i find whether fully posted or for sale do not seem to include that serial number.

has anyone found suitable manual and/or wiring diagram posted.

this has no smart fault indicators, i guess those are call the BOSS system according to the owner's manual. reading out of an operating manual for a later series number it has a transmission led which is now staying lit and that appears to be responsive to temperature and "low transmission charge pressure".

i don't know if it has an accumulator or what charge pressure it can be sensing if it is not spinning the pump. maybe this is a coincidental problem and it isn't a sensor preventing the pump from engaging but the lack of pump engagement is lighting the sensor. but normative operation experienced til this point has been that when started cold the transmission light is on and when it warms up the light goes out you can hear the pump spin up and she's ready to operate. the pump drive belt itself is OK and i'm assuming there is some kind of electric solenoid clutch on the pump. but now the light won't go out and the pump never spins. the owners manual says the light is indicator but does not suggest the sensors feeding that disable the pump. Because the LED seems to monitor for several functions it isn't readily apparent which function is tripping the light in the first place. a wiring diagram and/or service manual that covers this unit might be a start. or if you have experience with these in general and know what tree i should be barking up for starters, much appreciated.

IF the drive belt is tensioned correctly, and the engine is running the pumps are always turning. sounds like your machine has the BICS system, (small black box behind your right elbow) with a bunch of idiot lights.
with the engine running, seat bar down, and PTO (green button) on the LH dash engaged all the lights on the BICS should be lit up. your machine MAY have the older bics sytem with the SEAT sensor, again all the lights should be lit up constantly, no flashing
the dash hyd idiot light being on all the time is usually caused by a leaking pressure sensor thats located near the hyd filter. it's a 3 wire molded connector. unplug it and see if the connector body has oil in it, if it does, replace it and the light should go out.

does the machine drive?

no drive or function. haven't flipped the cab yet but that's next. (any hints)

I can see that the pump belt is OK and seems to have tension looking under the plastic cover by the flywheel where it is sheeved and there is no belt burning smell so i'm assuming that the pump is turning and maybe there is a dump valve that is not closing and that is what my friend is describing as the pump spinning up which made me think it had a clutch, but now i'm think just when the dump valve closes the hydraulics load and he hears the pump loading with light - not merciless squeal and hydraulic function is restored, but right now he is never getting to that point. The BICS lights are lighting up.

I am having trouble tracking down a manual for dowload either crowdsourced or purchase so i can get a good hydraulic and electric schematic but i think i need to break down and get a CD one on the way.
