I'm looking to buy a new 160 Volvo. The price was quite a bit less then cat and John deers 16 ton also the warranty option was cheaper.I have only ran volvo for a short period of time so I dont have much time in one. The cab and excavator setup on volvo really did impress me I liked it better then cat and deer. I do alot of demolition and looking at putting a small shear on it down the road and a hammer. I have had alot of luck with cat in the past running different attachments and shears. I have heard Volvo works pretty good as well. I like deer but never was a fan of them once you put a shear on it.

Any information would be appreciated! This is a big purchase for my company.

Check with your dealer. Volvo was offering lifetime warranty on boom and stick. . Make sure you get the stick for demolition. I think you'll be happy. Although most folks go with a 240 or larger. 160s certainly have their place. I guess it all depends on your intended use.
BTW Volvo does come factory with pretty beefy belly pans and options for severe duty windscreen guard.
The other guys will be along to share their experiences with other products.

E is better than D stay away from T4i or tier 4 interim, they just have problems. With SCR, and DEF, I think they got a handle on things

Just bought a new 220ELC 2 weeks ago. We love it. Seat belt beeper is annoying, and the HVAC system is a little tricky but other than that Volvo has a good product.
