Didn't a lot of the case 1845's use cummins 4bt's? I would think that 252 is about the same size. Around here, those case's will bring more money than about anything else.

It seems to me that you got the skid bought right, and if you're not afraid of a little fab work, the 4bt is pretty simple, doesn't take a lot of fancy electrical to make it run.

As far as resale or having part #'s from cat- I don't think its probably a big deal out in the sticks. If you can make the swap, you don't really need the cat man for anything.

Good luck and thanks for posting up. Lots of pictures are always appreciated. :)

Flywheel update - the stock bowex 55 fle-pa-0314.25 pump coupling fit the 4bt flywheel. Now Im waiting on the sae 3 pump/bellhousing plate. I mounted the coupling on side 2. This gives you a longer flange for the gear to sit in. It may be to long, but I will find out when the plate arrives. Side 1 is flush with coupling. Unfortunately I have to leave this weekend for some training for a few weeks. Once I come back I will be picking up the engine and then the fun begins.
