2018-05-09 21.11.18.jpg That looks like a dandy! Here is a roadbuilder I just picked up in Longview the other day, the second one the outfit I work for bought. Sorry for the bad pic, taken in the sun so I couldn't see the screen.

Here is our newest acquisition. By far the most comfortable cab yet. I have a 38" inseam & can stretch my legs out fully til my knees lock! I actually Had to slide the seat forward to reach the forward travel pedals, I was not stocked up after running it either unlike our Deeres.

Those are some beautiful shots of the new processor Hallback. The new link-belts seem a little under-hp for their weight. Some of it seems to be that they have even more U/C than normal for forestry machines. Maybe they are just heavy for their classes. Either way, I'd hear you thoughts on performance after a couple months. What are the plans for the Barko processor?

Roadbuilder pics are always great. The folding cab on the 18" risers really gets the transport height down.

Barko went back. Lack of support was our biggest complaint.
Yes, the new 40 series are all about 5-6k heavier per class compared to their predecessors. It has plenty of power for the little (10+/- hrs) I have run it though.

John Deere 892E LC excavator is around 67450 lbs so the high rise log loader version is going to more than that, depending on the shoes, grapple design etc. Even the fuel weight makes difference - empty or full tank on the larger machines.

I seem to recall one going across the scales, dirt and all at 90K.
I agree. A lot of them have additional counter slabs. However 90 is probably close. If I was going to put it on 9 behind a 105,000 licensed tractor and was 65,000 empty and thought 90 was good I would request my permit for 159,999 it would leave me with 4,999 pounds of slack and still costs 1.14 per mile

I'd guess they are waiting for a dozer to pull them around one of the switch backs.

Jimmy has been around here for years. He has a road construction & crushing company. They build some of the finest roads that I have seen. They do excellent work.
