Hi there. Currently my only "heavy" equipment is a 1 Ton Chevy pickup fitted with Mayer plow that does snow removal duty for our driveway, parking areas and 2 miles of private road, shared with neighbors.

However, I joined the forum because after 20 years living at 6000' in the mountains here I've resolved to buy some equipment and work on the long list of projects needing done on our 10 acre forested property, myself. The climate here means work can only be done during 3-4 months between runoff ending and next snow falling. Of course that's the busy time for local contractors so they will typically only come out to do simple things like driveway gravel. My day job schedule is unpredictable and I have travel quite a bit which makes equipment rental not a great option.

Looking to educate myself as to best options for the projects I need to do, within the budget I have available.
