JD 240 D LC Problems

Was called to the job site today, only one track works properly, the other one just makes a clicking sound and you can feel vibration through the machine. The only function that works properly is powering down on the boom, like pushing down a rock hammer. All other functions make the machine vibrate and you can feel it chattering when loading the controls. I would guess it was a pump coupler issue if it was not for the one track and the down boom functioning. Any ideas were to go? Thanks

Forgot to ask in the PM conversation, did you drain the pump drive gearbox oil to see if there was metal chunks in it? Here is the flow procedure and parts list. Note in the flow test it shows two flow meters hooked into the circuit. You can do the procedure one pump at a time with one flow meter. If you do not have a flow meter it might pay to buy one or pay to have someone flow test it.

I think one of the two pumps is bad. Book should tell you which one based on which track works.

I pulled the main hydraulic pump off and disassembled it. Found the head broke off 1 piston and it was stuck in the rotor. So that will take a few parts to fix it. I priced the stuff out through JD, but does anyone know an after market or good used source?Thanks for all your help.
