So I watched Rust Valley Restorer's last night...That is indeed a Grizzly that they have...Other than the fact it is another one found I know nothing of it..I didn't even know that another regular cab one had been built other than the first two.It is (as far as I know) the only one that was missing that I don't have photo's of...
That is 11 trucks that have been found now...
I hope to have some info next week as some friends are going to visit RVR and get some info...

There was one located in Prince George a few years ago, it was also a regular cab if I recall correctly, it was (is?) blue. I wish I had taken a photo...

Yes...Blue one in Prince George is #6 and is still in the original family...I have spoken to him.He is very much into his truck and uses it all the time ...Truck is a extended cab (lack of a better description)..
The grey truck is #3 I believe and was also in Prince George but left a while ago and has not been seen since..This is one of the trucks that has not surfaced.(yet)

I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned here and reading all 48 pages would be a little time consuming but there was one in Whistler a number of years ago set up to do tours... It was purple if I remember correctly, and it used to sit by the Husky at Creekside... next time I go through there I’ll keep an eye out but who knows when that will be...

You are correct....It is owned by Canadian Wilderness Adventures..Truck was originally green and CWA painted when they purchased it.They still own it but I have heard the truck has a broken front axle and is parked out front..

I talked to the owner of the Grizzly recently seen on Rust Valley Restorations .His name is Avery and he works with Mike on the show.Avery has owned the truck for a few years and he bought it from the estate of the previous owner...
When Avery got it the truck was in pcs and mounted on a Ford 2wd chassis with a 7.3 diesel. It is now mounted on a F450/550 chassis and has a Cummins 12 Valve in it..
As far as Avery knows the story is that this truck was built out of left over parts. It is registered as a 2000.He also has no idea where the yellow hood came from and the truck is void of all name plates...
I have heard story's of left over parts including a cab and there is a old internet post from the early 2000's of a hood for sale.
Avery also knows Brian Surerus well...Avery also said to tune in for the next few weeks as the Grizzly is getting more camera time for the next few episodes.
Avery also tells me that another missing truck is close to him and he has seen it.This would be the Yellow oil field truck that was auctioned off on the early 2000's.
He had to go as the film crew was there...
He said he would send me some pictures in a few days...I will call him again next week...
I think I will be doing a road trip in the spring...I need to go see these trucks..

I don't know about that.I have already had my 15 minutes of fame...I was on a CBC (circa 1990)show that was around for years called "Drivers Seat"...They spent a day at our shop filming and road testing the 427 Cobra replicars we built......

Sure you were. We all know that Canada has only produced two shows, "The Beachcombers" and "Trailer Park Boys". Nice try.

Those names ring a bell. They spent the day there filming...We had two cars both with 427's there at the time.A green car with gold stripes and a all black car..I taped it with VHS ...almost 30 years ago now...

So ....out of the blue today I got a e-mail from the front office at Surerus Oil...Brian(Surerus) thought I would like to see pics of their truck all decorated for the town...I e-mailed them a year ago and I thought it went no where.Apparantly not...I appreciate him/them sending me the photo's..

I am thinking they also own Grizzly Equipment..

I have asked twice now to get pics of the Rust Valley Resto truck.Owner keeps saying yes but that's as far as it goes...Sooner or later someone will get some pics and details...
Spent an hour today fixing the Grizzly tent..It took a beating in the recent storm.I have it mounted on large timbers and it was still pushed around badly and popped apart at the back..It more or less stayed in place tho..Yard is a mess and I now have 6 fir trees laying on the ground down by my pond...To far away to hit any of my buildings...
Anyways...weather was nice so I took the truck for a one hour drive.I haven't driven it in the crappy weather yet as my w/washers are pathetic. Not sure if its the pump or the nozzles..Just another thing on the to do list...Truck ran great...

Merry Christmas everyone..Enjoy the holidays and be safe.......

Working away on the little things.I was told by someone that my brake lights come on every time I hit a bump..Switch has no more adjustment so I extended the stop and put a light return spring on the brake pedal..Easy fix.
Still fighting with the windshield washers. The black plastic nozzels were screwed to the blades before but I just wasn't impressed with them. The cowl is too close to the glass for nozzles and the hood tilts so those options are out..
A bracket could be built to raise some nozzles up high and tilted but I didn't really want to bolt that to my cowl.I grabbed a set of old Mustang nozzles and bent them into a useable shape and bolted them to the arms..Not a fantastic pattern but lots of pressure and volume. They follow the blade through its travel so coverage is ok.I have them aimed at the mid point on the blade..I am going to have to say "good enough"...I will keep thinking on this..
Next is my seat belts...Neither retractor works properly..After what happened to me 5 1/2 years ago safe and secure seatbelts are a must...
I have found some new belts and will probably order them tonight...Belts in the truck are early 80's Ranger..

Cheers...
