Code 12546 means battery is dead.
Batteries should be charged at 80 percent depth of discharge. Allowing a battery to go completely dead will take over 3 days of continuous charging to bring it back to full charge. In some cases, it may even require service to restore it to a full charge.
Here is a website where you can find a list of Hyster forklift error codes http://store.intellaliftparts.com/blog/hyster-forklift-error-codes/

Not only that, but fully automatic chargers such as those used on those types of batteries, if you excessively discharge the batteries, once you plug in the charger it senses this "low state of charge" and will charge the batteries at or near the full amp output of the charger. Over time that will shorten the life of the batteries. You're better off plugging the charger to the machine daily, that way chargers amps output to the batteries will be minimal. And make sure the batteries are full of electrolyte. Add distilled water to keep at proper level.

Most likely the reason it quit operating was the motor controller locked out functions to protect the motors. Operating motors at low state of charge increases amps going to the motors and will burn them up. The motor controller prevents that from happening by shutting it down. Again, all the more reason to plug in that charger daily.

try unplugging it and hold down the horn for a minute , and then plug it back in and it should work . I have 6 E60xn trucks and out of the clear blue 1 will lock out and show that code and that usually fix's it , and then make sure it is charged .
