My dad has a 125e loader that 1st and 3rd gears do not work. 2nd still pulls fine and this is a three speed power shift machine. Can anyone help? It seems to want to pull in first but seems like the clutch is slipping. Thanks

Hey guys I'm a new inquirer. Can anyone help me with this issue on the 125e? I would appreciate any advice as to where to start to fix the issue hopefully not having to pull the transmission. Thanks

Going to have to invest in a service manual. Check on eBay and post a general search on Google for just a 125E IHC service manual should get some hits. Will need to check the fluid pressures at the points in the manual for loss of feed pressure indication of blown seals, bad internal trans lines, bad spool controls etc. Are a variety of tests and you will need gauges up to 5000# for a few checks for the safety side of it. Having one gear states volumes that something is awry IN the trans not the hydraulics feeding it as a note.

Hi again folks. I have a couple of questions I would like to try and get answered. The 125e that my dad has is giving a little bit of trouble lately. 1st and 3rd gear will not pull. 2nd gear was pulling fine until the other day when the machine got to operating temp it was like you put it in neutral. When the oil is cold the machine will pull in 2nd gear only. I check the range selector valve and found no issues. I plan on checking the regulator and modulation valves also but looking for some insight from maybe someone who has experienced these issues. The other issue is the oil is being pumped from the transmission into the oil reservoir on the side of the machine occasionally. This is a erratic condition and doesn't happen all the time. The manual I have doesn't have a hydraulic schematic in it so I am tring to track this issue down as well. Any information will be appreciated and used. Thanks

Will likely need the trans overhauled, not a simple task to remove nor rework, have seals out as to putting oil where do not want but has been too long for me to remember the interconnect.

The warm oil going to neutral is the big key, thinner oil weak seals basically dumping application pressures off. My Allis has similar issues and a similar system.

Loss of 1&3 where still somewhat kinda pulling 2 says a lot. Doubt will be valving, can also be losing a pump with that thought as loss of seals allows pump to runout, that leads to a load of heat buildup and internal wear.

I would try to find the closest Dresser/Dressta Dealer, those used to be the IH, maybe they can steer you to a supplier. May even check with Case IH industrial dealers, see if they can help. I am also having Obsolete Machine parts flow issues, Only ONE supplier of any value stock limited where have had to go to Hydraulics shop to cross seals and such.
