Skytrac 4270. Engages transmission smoothly but in either forward or reverse motion, transmission suddenly lose grip as if slipping out of gear. Play with the throttle and it will engage again but will repeat the action shortly. Owner said the first thing he tried was check the transmission fluid level and it was overfull but with no burnt smell. Machine has less than 6000 hours. Any ideas?

Is it a clark transmission? if it a has an inching valve it could be hanging up. does it pull good when it goes in gear? also...it could be losing electrical power to the tranny- a bad low brake pressure switch can cut power. it sounds electrical, not mechanical
