i bought a 2005 tz50 for my son to use in his newly formed construction business. The basket does not self level. Also, when you move the last arms up or down, the 4 ft alum ones attached to the basket, the second arm drifts down. Any thoughts on where to start looking for the problems?

I forgot, the outrigger self level is not working either, but they all work individually. Is self level stuff all connected somehow?

Researching,,i see the one cylinder on the basket is described as a slave cylinder to the cylinder that raises the primary boom. So does this mean it is a hydraulic problem?

I think i understand it but don’t know what to fix. As the primary cyl is raised, it moves the basket leveling cylinder and it pumps fluid to the slave, which changes the angle of the basket. When it is lowered the leveling cylinder pumps fluid the opposite way to the slave cyl, which changes the angle the opposite way.

Which cylinder is not working?

Ok, i think i have the solution. I think the master leveling cyl for the basket is blown.

I really need an answer to confirm this!
The question that will confirm it or send me somewhere else is:,,,,, If that master leveling cylinder is blown, will it stop the basket level button from moving the basket?

My theory is the fluid is moving to either side of the basket cylinder(also the slave) thru the master and back thru the T on the line up front, not just on one end of the cylinder which would make the cylinder move.

Well, rebuilding the cylinder did not help. I did find the problems. The previous owner put the hyd lines on backwards, and the solenoid connections were backwards on the slave cylinder. Works perfectly now.

On to the next problem, self leveling.
