I am having a problem with a 2005 648 GIII skidder. It just had a engine rebuild 1 week ago and run fine for 4 days but then the copper washer broke on 1 injector so we changed it and after that it sounded fine but would bog down when you put it in a pull up a hill and slows to a crawl, it’s seems different than lack of fuel because it doesn’t go to missing or cut off like fuel filters would do it just doesn’t have power and the only code is F477, my local JD store said the code wasn’t related to my problem but I don’t know. We have tried everything that we know to try, here is a list of most of what we have done. Put all new injectors, changed fuel filters and air filters, blowed through fuel line back to tank, I think the problem is related to the boost and not fuel because we unhooked 1 boost line and it didn’t change anything still run the exact same with the line off, so we bypassed the aftercooler because thought it might be cracked but that didn’t work either. What could my problem be?

Get some fittings, hoses and gauges to watch your boost and fuel pressure while it's running out of power. Any smoke out the exhaust? If it's boost related she'll be smoking heavy, if no smoke it's most definitely a lack of fuel.

Copper washer broke on an injector? The sealing washer down in the head?

Yes it was the one that sealed next to the head, the washer looked copper on the old injector but it was plastic on the new ones, but i think the teflon washer next to the tip it what the main problem with it was because it was blowing compression out around the injector, but that problem is now fixed, i thought the problems was related because it ran fine until we fixed that but now we think it had another problem happen at the exact same time. I think we have it narrowed down to the codes it's throwing causing it because i found out it was throwing a derate code also which was why it don't have power. The f477 is what caused the f475 derate code, the f477 is a security code that says the ecu doesn't recognize the correct dash panel, 2 people have said there fairly sure the dash panel is bad. So i'm hoping that will fix it, because we just spent over 7,000 on it rebuilding the engine, new turbo, rebuilt injection pump, so needless to say we need to be running it not working on it. Thanks for your help, i was thinking of doing that until i found out about the extra code.
