I hauled 2 loads and loaded another for tomorrow. I hope to get back and load one from were i have some stored. Then i have to go to a amish guys place he has a brand new skid steer on rubber tracks so he will load me. Its something to see him runing a $70.000 machine with AC and live in a house with out a fan.

Price here was going up, hit $170/ton clean scrap ferrous, Tin dropped to $130 then back to 140, copper anything is still making good money. One thing I have noticed is the grades of scrap have changed, large castings as engine blocks or large crawler components are graded as Tin as they are larger than the 2'x3' and under 100# for "Clean" ferrous. Have to get dimensions down or lose value. Whole machines are bringing less as they require disassembly.

Been working on my mess, already hauled away four ton and a couple hundred pounds in scrap copper radiators.
Could post a pic of what I have but its looking so bad I'm finally in the embarrassed side

I have assorted remnants of a SECOND Allis 7G crawler I am stripping for parts with assorted small crap so do not feel bad. Damn crawler takes up a third of my barn currently but IS getting smaller.

Hey AllDodge, I will show you my pile if you show me yours. LOL. I do a lot of farmetead clean up and end up with a lot of scrap.
Prices up here suck at the moment. $80 ton for unprepared and $95 for prepared.

My name is Jeff and I’m a scrap-a-holic. Two old forklifts, an old crane, an old truck and a 30 yard roll off that’s already packed full waiting on the truck to pick it up.......just to be refilled......

I had 20 cars some pickups 2 trucks several tons of prepard and a small mountain of none ferrous. I set a gold to clean up the vehicals witch i did but i bought 4 last week. I thought i would take off this winter and haul but every thing has gone down here.Some places have got so funny about the way they buy cars. One price if they are complete another if it has something taken apart and another price if its packed with scrap.If it gets back to $140.00 for cars i would be happy.Its funny but 15 years ago i got 65.00 a ton and now i need to get 160.00 to fill good about selling.

Water company have been putting in a new water line around here and I've been hauling the rock away for free cause I need it. Been filling in a hill side for 10 years now and its about full. But the rock loaded has been tearing up my bed because its large rocks and some bolders. Have had rocks stuck in the gate several times. Going to really need a new bed now, it wasn't in great shape when we started

Scrap keeps bouncing $100-150/ton here, currently at $120
I have ask for years and most of the big wheels wouldnt say. I met a guy that had been in scrap for years and had a big yard he told me it would go up that fall he was wrong it started droping and went down slowiy for 3 months

Damn! $170 a ton is good money. I haven't been across the scales in months but I think the last I got was $85 a ton for tin.
The highest I have been paid was $140 ton back in 2013 and luckily I had several packed 30's of structural steel from a demo job.

Just sold some shredder iron … $100 per ton. in mid NC

You seen my pile. I got spoiled when it hit $200 a ton for mixed a few years back. I'm holding out for that or until I really need a Margarita at some distant place.

I’ve started another rolloff. When the weather improves and work slows I’ll strip the good stuff off the forklifts and maybe some of the crane.
