Can anyone tell me if it matters which way the black quadrings go on a 743 bobcat spool valve. The control valve is a 4 spool. If it matters does anyone know which way? And can anyone send me a picture of the control valve from the spring side of all 4 spool caps? No need to disassemble just a pic of the control valve from that side. That'd be very much appreciated, Thank You. Dieselpro12@gmail.com.

do you have 4 spools? He told me they were quad rings, and mine look like quad rings too.

Bobcat did stuff like that, using different seals depending on serial number. Most confused they were

Those are quad rings right? Both sides look a little different from each other when you use a magnifying glass. I guess I'm gonna call the dealer and check with him.

Yes, 4 spools.

Don't recall. If it had o-rings or quad rings in it. They weren't cup seals originally.

The two smaller caps, whiich are i think boom and rear aux. And one of the smaller caps is a bit thicker so it needs a longer bolt. Can you tell me which cap it is or spool looking from the top of relief valves, when you have time?

over the years bobcat used several different valve/seal combinations.
orings
orings w back up washers
black quad rings
orange seals
green seals

the orange or green seals are directional, back up rings are always located AWAY from pressure.
on some valves you have to measure the depth of the counterbore to determine what the correct seal is.... typically when some dipstick installs the wrong spool seals and it leaks worse than it did before....
