Thanks for the kind words.

I just went down to open the package and see what he did ship. He sent a new gasket set that he had ordered along with the parts he took from here.

FWIW, I texted the mechanic this morning. I though maybe he knew something I didn't. I asked him just tell my honestly why he didn't come back, if it was more than he expected or what. No hard feelings, and thanks for returning the parts. He called me right away and was very nice. He has a service manual he is going to make copies of the section I need and send to me. He offered to help any way he could over the phone if (more like when) I run into issues and need advice. So hopefully soon I can get started. OK, so soon may be a month b/c it seems nearly impossible just to keep up with regular things.

Just got to thinking about this thread the other day, after seeing the complete and utter trainwreck that is still ongoing on another thread. Rutwad, did you ever get this thing figured out??

I was able to get the injector pump off the Case 530CK. But I have something wrong
  • Valves on front cylinder are closed.
  • I see the marks on the clutch or whatever it is
  • Injector pump shaft sitting at 11 and 5 o'clock with dot at 11
  • I see both marks in injector pump window away from engine
  • Dot inside injector pump is at 5 o'clock position.

If I turn it to the 11 o'clock position, the marks will align inside the pump window toward the engine. But shouldn't I be looking at the one away from the engine?
No, it got moved to the back burner. I'm guessing there is some other problem

Align the timing marks on flywheel at 8 degrees before TDC, go ahead a pull the valve cover and roll engine over until back two valves (ones closest to fuel tank) when the exhaust valve closes and the intake valve starts to open number 1 will be on TDC. Then check the timing marks and you will see a 0 or TDC on flywheel and degree numbers should be there also, set engine on 8. If for some reason it doesn't line up then I'd check pump out like Thepumpguy said it's probably wrong one. go back to pump shop and tell them what you have and what's happening.
